About

Dr. Gichuru Francis Maina is a highly accomplished Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Organizational Development Specialist with over 15 years of experience leading evaluations, institutional strengthening, strategic planning, curriculum development, and capacity-building initiatives across Eastern Africa. He combines strong academic credentials with extensive field experience in humanitarian and development programming, having supported governments, UN agencies, NGOs, faith-based organizations, and international development partners in designing evidence-based programmes and strengthening organizational performance.

Dr. Gichuru has successfully led numerous consultancy assignments involving baseline, midline and endline evaluations, development of M&E frameworks, Theories of Change, strategic plans, policy reviews, organizational capacity assessments, and training programmes. His recent work includes serving as National Research Expert for the EU-funded Project SUCCESS, leading the endline evaluation of the Kenya Red Cross Community Resilience Project, reviewing the East African Community (EAC) Youth Policy, developing strategic plans and M&E frameworks for public and private institutions, and supporting curriculum development initiatives for UNICEF Liberia and other international organizations.

A holder of a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master of Education in Measurement and Evaluation, and professional certifications in Project Management (PMP), Monitoring and Evaluation, and Resource Mobilization, Dr. Gichuru possesses strong expertise in mixed-methods research, impact evaluation, policy analysis, institutional strengthening, education systems, and programme performance management. He is also an accomplished university lecturer, researcher, and trainer with several peer-reviewed publications.
